Industrial False Creek – Vancouver Architectural Photographer

Despite  Vancouver being criticized for not preserving historic or architecturally unique buildings, the development of South East False Creek has made a concerted effort to incorporate the area’s industrial past in its design. The dismantling and reassembly of the Opsal Steel building and the renovation and repurposing of the Salt building are two excellent examples of these efforts. Through all these developments the original Wilkinson Steel building has remained mostly untouched. While I was unable to find any specific plans for this building, lets hope that it’s preserved in a way similar to its other industrial relatives.
